AthlonXP Folding@Home Team to give away an AthlonXP 2200+
The AthlonXP.com Folding@Home Team began its existence shortly after we brought our current site format online in June of 2002. With many members joining with backgrounds of having participated in Distributed Computing it was decided that AthlonXP should join the ranks of the hundreds of teams that are ripping work units around the clock. Deciding what project we would dedicate our spare CPU clock cycles to took a bit of time as we were faced with the opportunity to help find ET with the SETI@Home project, help to understand protein folding, protein aggregation, related diseases and how existing proteins attain their specific, functional three-dimensional structures by Folding@Home or working with the Genome@Home project a sister project to Folding@Home in which scientists are striving to design new genes that can form working proteins in the cell. Since many of us having already dedicated countless hours searching for ET it was decided that we were to become a productive member of the Folding@Home community by Folding Proteins to help better the quality of life.

Hercules XPS 510 Speaker Review
Will (Windsorfox) Ulmer has just finished taking a look at the Hercules XPS 510 speakers. Lets take a look at what he has to say about these budget 5.1 computer speakers.
From Review
"I did like the fact that to remove the front cover you have to remove the four screws in the rear, which also releases the speaker component on the inside. This is a bane to those of us who insist on whippingthe cover to see inside while loitering at the store, but is good news to those who have young children who for some unknown reason simply insist on smushing the dustcovers in the center of any uncovered speaker. Inside I find it is a fairly tough box and actually contains some polyethylene fuzz for acoustic batting."

The minor design change in the new K8-core processors will not affect supporting products from chipset designers and motherboard makers, as the processor has already incorporated a memory controller and the design alteration is not related to the HyperTransport technology-based transmission interfaces, Richard Heye, vice president of platform engineering and infrastructure at Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), said during his recent visit in Taiwan.

| MSI 645E Max Motherbaord Review @ ReviewNation.com |
|
"For many of the readers frequenting Review Nation, the lack of Intel/Pentium 4 products had been troubling. Well that is all going to end now. MSI has been in the business of hardware for a long time. They are quite good at it, and they know how to best utilize your computer's resources. But, I suppose the largest part of why MSI has gained so much popularity as of late, is due largely to the small price put on products of extremely high quality. It's a bargain, it works and it lasts. This seems to be the motto of MSI, and it rightfully should be. But is this motherboard for you? Well it's a socket 478, Pentium 4 ready, brilliantly red piece of hardware. Its features are simply awe inspiring considering its price. Not to mention the ability to utilize DDR RAM instead of RDRAM, this is a welcome change for Pentium 4 users. And of course the board also comes with your standard motherboard fare..."
