I installed an Asus A7V8X-X mainboard with an AMD 2500XP processor and stock cooler in a matter of minutes. There are enough mounting points to handle just about any ATX mainboard on the market. Next was a Realtek NIC card and ATI Radeon 9700. The NIC went in just fine but the 9700 was too tall for the toolless expansion slot mechanism. The solution is to remove the locking tab so a regular supplied screw may be used. This was a slight inconvenience due to having large hands and limited space in the mechanism.

I opted to install a CD-ROM and CD-RW next. The supplied rails are sturdy and hold quite well. The floppy drive involved one thumb screw to remove the carriage, then with the supplied screw, the floppy attaches to the carriage and is reinstalled. The hard drive was just as easy to install as the CD drives, but I have to say the drives are mounted fairly close to the side panel, so careful routing is in order, even with rounded cables.

The extra cooling helps this system greatly. My last mid-tower case, with only one front fan and one rear fan, had a case temperature of 37C at idle. This case maintains a constant temperature of 32C. Throughout the inside of the case are instructions for drive mounting and card installations right where you need them. This makes it easier than the “read and look” flimsy copies of instructions most companies supply.

Conclusion

All and all I would have to say with the number of mid-tower cases I've used in the past the size of a server case is very refreshing. This is a fine quality product with many features found in more expensive cases. If you're on a budget and want to jump up for more room this is a contender. I failed to mention if it's a LAN rig you're building this case is heavy about 30lbs empty so bulk up for those LAN parties.
