I have an AMD TH-1600. Is this the same as the new AMD XP processor? What speed should it run at? My mobo is the Soyo SY-K7ADA. I thought I was supposed to be able to run at 1.6 Ghz. I only run at 1050MHz. I don't have enoug of a manual clock multiplier on my board. Would a bios flash work?

That's the only thing I could think of unless he's talkin' "Thoroughbred" but I really doubt that. Oh well!

I'm still not sure what your question is.

If you are asking about XP1600+ I believe that its set for 10.5x133 thus 1400 (1.4GHz) at default. If you're getting any less, something is wrong.

If thats not your point, please then clarify exactly what you want to know.

Duh...yep he's running at 100fsb that's all.

I would add that you should usually use the most recent BIOS version so check to be sure that you have it installed.

This is his board http://www.soyousa.com/syk7ada.html ALi MAGiK1. If it's anything like my board it will boot up as 100Mhz BUS this is to prevents instant overclocking & boot fail, in the BIOS you will have to set it from 100Mhz to 133Mhz FSB.
