Hey Joe, how are you? Whats next line up for Corsairs high performance ram?
PC4000?
And I just bought a stick of Corsair PC 3200 and eagerly waiting for it to arrive, and how well does your ram compare to the other companies such as OCZ?
I think Corsair is much more reliable and faster.

Afternoon Joe,

We've seen DDR-2 come out in video cards...and there are rumors of future chipsets utilizing this on mainboards. What's the 'next big thing' coming...beyond simply using faster and faster chips based on the same technology?

All kinds of cool stuff. I don't want to spoil the big surprise, but we have a super cool cooling unit coming up soon. and of course some faster DDR. Right now we're just struggling to keep up with demand for our matched pairs of low latency modules.

What process does Corsair use in chosing the twinx ram? Are they tested or just pulled out at the same point in the manufacturing process? Thanks

Welcome Joe!

What do you think of the issues with 400DDR memory and VIA chipsets? Should we wait until the appropriate FSB on CPUs becomes standard? I know that I cannot run my RAM at its full potential because of the KT400 problems. When will this stop being an issue, you think?

DDR 2 is still at least 6 months away on the desktop. It will probably be Q1 next year before the first desktop chipsets w/ DDR 2 support hit the streets, so that's really a 2004 technology.

Hey Joe,
I have a question for you. I have an ASUS A7N8X deluxe mobo with 2 512 MB Corsair TwinX1024-3200LLPT XMS sticks and a Athlon 2700+ cpu. When I have the memory running at 200 Mhz, the system does not seem stable. When I set it to 166 mhz, it's fine. My next step is to run memtest86 on it at different speeds and with 1/2 sticks at a time to try to nail this down. Do you recommend running this mobo at this speed with this memory?
Thanks a bunch,
Joe
