Most of my life I've designed schtuff for other people.....it leaves ya with a paycheck that gets spent and a stack pictures that end up in a portfolio. Not bad.

Mod a case.....it leaves ya without a paycheck that gets spent anyway and a stack of pictures on the AthlomXP gallery......oh, and a case on your desk that makes a few jaws drop.



And I forget....its a lot cheaper than building a hotrod.

I'm just starting to get into the whole moding thing, though I've wanted to do it for over a year. I painted my case last summer. This summer it's slated for MAJOR modage. I also get to do my friend's up, he's never modded before. And since I have all the tools I need (my dad builds boats for a hobby, plus he's been working on all kinds of machines for about 25 years). So, since he's given me building knowledge and the use of his tools, I WILL MOD!!! Besides, ask my father, I like messing with anything I can.

dutchcedar.. right on man!!

my first mods would have to be GI-Jo figures.. swapping torso's and stuff. Second and most memerable would be platic model cars. Than Puter GUI's.

I cant leave well enough alone. My mond goes a mile a minute and its always on "making it GAb's".

insaneman.. you have the bloosd already flowing. Now its just doing it. great father bonding with that as well. ~Props to Dad's btw.~

Just don't like beige

I've always liked to change things, playing with legos, started electronic hobbying when I was 11. When I had my iMac, that was my first taste of a comp that wasn't beige or gray. My next mod for my case might be a maroon paint job.

You know, the older iMacs (Rev. A-D) have a nice 92mm fan that you can use. I have mine fan cooling the graphics card.
