Now that the stock benchmarks are out of the way, we'll look into overclocked and underclocked speeds.
FX 53 Multi Media @ 2200 MHz
FX 53 @ 2200 MHz 3DMark 2003
FX 53 @ 2200 MHz Aquamark
Not surprised at the results because there has not been any major core changes to the Hammer, besides the .5% to 15% speed increase from 2.2 GHz to the new king of the hill 2.4 GHz.
Now that the underclocked results are out of the way, it is time for the overclocked screen shots. Since the debut of the Hammer line, they have not been very successful overclockers, this still holds true, partly because of the motherboard overclocked itself of ~70 to ~75 MHz. The maximum safe overclock I was able to hold was 2536 Mhz at 1.70 vcore before it would hit the unsafe vcore of more than 10% of 1.55.
FX 53 @ 2536 MHz SiSoft CPU Arithmetic
We have a performance gain of approximately 7% performance gain in the Arithmetic benchmark and comparing the maximum overclock to the FX 51 we see a 15% increase.
