The Benchmarks

You definitely know that through SEO, your business will benefit hugely, so you have to make sure to find the right Link Building Company that can help you gain your goals SEO on lookup motor rankings, finding the best Link Building Company for your business is a lot more crucial than ever. Link building Company will help you | Simple Website Templates. Every great website and web design needs a starting place or point. Our own newly redesigned website started from a basic template that was heavily modified to suit our needs and the same can be done for you. Using our simple sea website templates on our site you can buy website templates

During our tests, we ran our system through a series of office application, synthetic, and gaming benchmarks. One issue that is met when benchmarking a multi-processor configuration is the fact there is little software written to take full advantage of a dual processor setup. Then again, many use their MP rigs for a variety of purposes. When running separate tasks simultaneously, the overall performance of the system can benefit from the additional CPU. By looking at how these systems performed running each of these tasks, it can be determined just how well these processors will benefit the user in his working environment.

First out of the chute is Content Creation demonstrating the performance of these workhorses while churning through different tasks in various office applications. The MP 2800+ shows a respectable 8.5% increase over our baseline system. Although this increase is not consistent with the clock speed (or Performance Rating) increase, it does show there are far more bottlenecks to a MP system than the CPU.

The SiSoft Sandra 2003 CPU test results show the MP 2800+ outpacing our baseline system by 18 to 20%. These results are on par with the increased clock speed of the MP 2800+ over the MP 2200+. The Memory scores reflect the bottleneck of the slower 266MHz memory bus. With the SiSoft Sandra 2003 tests, the performance advantage has come from the speed increase of the core rather than the added L2 cache.

The Futuremark PCMark 2002 test scores yield very similar results to that of the SiSoft Sandra 2003 tests. The CPU scores increased as the CPU clock frequencies did. One surprise came when the Memory portion of the test jumped by more than 26% with the MP 2800+ configuration. This benefit can obviously be attributed to the additional L2 cache.

Here we see the dual CPU configurations trying to push the GeForce FX in this series ofL tests. The only problem is that the memory bandwidth of the dual setup is much too limited for these tests. As a result, the gains of the MP 2800+ over the baseline system are minimal.

An increase of almost 14% is more like it when making a jump in the CPU scale, as we see in this benchmark. Once again, the memory limitations on the dual boards keep the GeForce FX down as it has ample room to climb in this test.

CPU horsepower is not as much of a factor as expected in this benchmark from Futuremark. Moving to the MP 2800+ from the baseline system increased our 3DMark 2003 score by a paltry 3%. If you want to push for high 3DMark 2003 scores, overclocking your video card will yield much better results than an increase in CPU speed.

For years now, Quake III has been used for comparative purposes, gauging the performance levels of numerous systems. Quake III is one of the few games that will utilize the second CPU in a dual setup. Just to show you the gains the dual CPU has over a single arrangement, we ran our test with SMP enabled and disabled. As you can see, the scores did not double by any means, but there was a 12% boost by enabling this feature. The same gain was seen for the MP 2800+ over the baseline scores.

Drone Z is another game that benefits from SMP. This feature is automatically implemented in thisL game, without the need for manual configuration. An advantage of more than 12% is seen here for the MP 2800+ Barton.

In these DirectX 8 game benchmarks, there is a close race between the MP 2800+ system and our baseline system. Again, the limitations of the dual setup are noticed, with little difference separating the two different MP processors.

Thisl benchmark shows a larger gain for the MP 2800+ than did our DirectX 8 games. Again, a boost of 12% is seen in the move to the Barton CPU.

Another surprise is the dramatic increase in the Unreal Tournament benchmarks. Looking at the scores, we see a much greater increase than in the previous DirectX 8 game benchmarks. An increase of 18% to 21% is shown by the MP 2800+ when compared to the "Barton-less" base system. It would appear UT2003 benefits from the added L2 cache as well.
