Less than two months ago, nVidia released their souped-up version of the GeForce3, artfully named Ti500. Core clock speed had been increased from 200MHz to 240MHz while DDR memory had increased from 230MHz to 250MHz. Referencing our early Ti500 review, the increase in performance over its predecessor, the GeForce3 was less than ten percent. According to nVidia, difficulty obtaining those high yields affected the availability and in turn, created a shortage of Ti500-based boards. Though the Ti4600 possesses many of the features found in the Geforce3 Ti500, nVidia added and in some areas improved on its previous technology. Lets take a detailed look at these four new and improved features:
- NVidia nFiniteFX II Engine
- NVidia Lightspeed Memory Architecture II (LMA II)
- NVidia Accuview Technology (High-Resolution Antialiasing Subsystem)
- NVidia nView Technology
