There has always been an attraction to sleek, space-saving designs when it comes to the workplace, and this has paved the way for flat panel monitors. With their space saving design and light weight, more and more people are starting to look toward them as an alternative to bulky and heavy CRT monitors. Weighing in at thirteen pounds the CTX PV520 is a fine example of a flat panel monitor. When you get it out of the packaging, which CTX does a fine job making sure that this baby arrives intact, you are greeted by a sexy piece of hardware that just screams "plug me in baby". Mounted on top of a rounded black base is the LCD screen which provides15 inches of viewing space surrounded by a silver casing. The buttons on the monitor are easy to work with, spaced well and easily indefinable. Looks like CTX put some time into making sure they had a solid and attractive design, but in the world of hardware it takes more so let's see how this monitor performs...

Packaging

As mentioned before, the monitor comes well protected for its journey; a thick box, Styrofoam, plastic wrapping and LCD screen make sure it arrives to you in tact. Along with the monitor and the usual VGA cable and power cord you get the CTX Quick Guide(basics of how to set up your monitor and the PivotXGA software which allows you to tile the monitor from 0 degrees all the way around to 270 degrees from its normal position.
