Specifications

The minimum system requirements:

  • Over an 800MHz processor
  • 128MB of Memory
  • A free PCI slot for the card
  • Windows 2000/XP
  • A free USB port for the remote sensor
  • But recommends:

  • Over 2.0Ghz processor
  • 256MB of Memory

  • These are low requirements which is a nice feature if you were wanting to convert an older pc into a media PC. Something I hear people talk about a lot.

    Card Specs:

This card is built around NVIDIA's NVTV chipset with 16MB of SDR memory, 64-bit memory bus, 128-bit graphics core and 128-bit memory interface.

    Features

This TV tuner card might look like the rest but as we have all been told, it is not about looks its about whats inside. This card has a ton of features, in fact more than I could ever use, but it is better to have to much, than to little.

Here is the Multimedia Selector page that you start off with when you start up your tuner. From here you can choose your choice of entertainment.

From here we will go with the first and most important choice... TV. Double left clicking the TV button with the remote gets you into the Controller page which basically runs all of the apps from the selector page. I tried to get a screenshot with some kind of video playing in the controller view but it would not allow it, no matter what I tried. Yes, you can take snapshots of the screen but I wanted to show the actual controls and the snapshot only grabs the image. As you can see the controls are laid out nice and easily recognizable, with good mouse overs to help you figure out what you are doing or what to do.

Ok, here is the a snapshot not in full screen mode. Pretty fricken clear and below that is the fullscreen snapshot. Both look great, no cloudy look, or fuzziness. Yes, High Definition is better but this is not a HD card, which cost double or triple the cost of this one. The one flaw I do see with the picture that I couldn't fix is the little white fluttering that appears on top of the video, you can see it at the top of the pic.
