I would definitely recommend this video card to anyone that is looking to upgrade, but doesn't want to take out a loan or sell their soul to the devil to do so. For <$300 you can get one of these cards and it will more than handle Half Life 2 or anything you can conceivably throw at it in the near future. I feel that this card is definitely the best bang for the buck out there right now. Expect prices to drop as other manufacturers get their rendition to market. I would expect to see these cards at or just below $200 by Christmas. So, to sum it all up, the 6600GT AGP version has provided those people who are looking to upgrade their system an affordable alternative. They don't have to replace the motherboard and all just to be able to run the PCI-E video cards. The 6600GT AGP card is just plain the best performance per dollar spent out there in video cards today. This card in this system simply performed wonderfully. I was able to play Half Life 2 at 1280x1024 in all it's glorious detail without getting those annoying stuttering graphics lags. Outstanding! A 9/10 rating. (Hey, nobody gets a 10/10)
