Features Summary
Processors supported by this motherboard are the AMD Athlon, Athlon XP, and
Duron processors from 1.4GHz and above with 200, 266, and 333 fsb DDR bus speeds.
When running the system overclocked to 333fsb the memory timings are also limited
to 333, and not 400. On the VIA KT400 the northbridge handles the memory, AGP/PCI,
and the southbridge handles the integrated peripherals such as the sound, and
LAN. The IDE controllers can handle anything from UDMA33 to ultra ATA133, and
the Promise Raid controller can function as an ATA device for extra drives or
as the raid controller.
You definitely know that through SEO, your business will benefit hugely, so you have to make sure to find the right Link Building Company that can help you gain your goals SEO on lookup motor rankings, finding the best Link Building Company for your business is a lot more crucial than ever. Link building Company will help you | Simple Website Templates. Every great website and web design needs a starting place or point. Our own newly redesigned website started from a basic template that was heavily modified to suit our needs and the same can be done for you. Using our simple sea website templates on our site you can buy website templates Gigabyte included the Promise Raid controller (PDC20276) that supports data
striping 0 or mirroring 1 meaning raid 0 or 0+1 and supports IDE bus master
operation. Raid error messages are displayed if there is a problem as I found
out switching drives, one power cable was not connected properly and during
the boot the message was displayed on boot up. The Promise controller was lacking
in that it only allowed up to 64kb block size, as compared to the Highpoint
controller which has 2mb. If the Promise controller had this feature with today's
high performance drives like the Western Digital 800JB with 8mb cache, it would
surely be a screamer. When not being used as a raid controller you can use the
IDE ports for more ATA drives.
The RealTek LAN chip (RTL8100BL) onboard is nice in freeing up PCI slots for
case neatness, air flow, or other PCI cards for those who need extra space.
The onbard LAN is a very nice feature I liked.
Audio is also produced by RealTek (ALC650). The sound card plays everything
you could want without going into studio editing, with 2 front, 2 rear, center
channel, and subwoofer ports.
Also there is a line in, line out, SPDIF in, SPDIF out, a game port, cd, and
auxiliary in ports. The surround sound adapter and SPDIF adapter are both optional
devices. To get all that there is an adapter that comes with the motherboard
but to use this it takes up a PCI slot. The control panel for the sound card
is nice as well with plenty of options like sound effects, equalizer, and speaker
controls.
One thing to take note of is the board has a preset list of memory that Gigabyte
has tested and recommends. This is a current list of Memory and speeds.
