For our benchmarking, we put the NF7-S up against the ASUS
A7N8X Deluxe and the Gigabyte 7VAXP. Both of these boards are
in direct competition with the NF7-S in price, features, and
performance. The A7N8X is an nForce2 equipped board and the
7VAXP carries the KT400. Also worth noting is the A7N8X is revision
1.4 of the motherboard and not the newer nForce2 revision.

The Content Creation benchmark, which times a systems ability
to perform tasks in multiple media applications, shows the NF7-S
outpacing the other motherboards here.

Gauging the differences seen in PCMark2002, the NF7-S gets
great memory scores, but plays runner up in the other two tests.
There is really very little to distinguish the three motherboards
here.
SiSoft Sandra 2003 shows the Gigabyte board performing not
so surprisingly well. We have generally seen Gigabyte boards
perform at the head of the pack. The jump to revision 2.0 in
the nForce2 chipset does not appear to enhance the performance
all that much from what we see here.

SPEC Viewperf 7.1 runs a series ofL tests and gauges
how well the systems perform each applications task. SPEC Viewperf
7.1 uses datasets that are designed for and used by real applications.
There is no clear winner in this benchmark, but the NF7-S does
win the majority of them by a small margin.

In our experience, motherboards from VIA generally outperformed
nForce2 boards in this benchmark from Futuremark. The Gigabyte
sporting the VIA chipset does just as expected and outpaces
the two nForce2 board
The real story here is just how well the NF7-S motherboard
does compared to the older revision of the nForce2 chipset on
the A7N8X Deluxe. A margin of almost 300 points is a substantial
lead that many work hard to attain.

Using our simple sea website templates on our site you can buy website templates During our MP3 Conversion test, we took a 700MB wav file and
converted it to a high quality MP3. Using MusicMatch Jukebox
to make the conversion, we timed how long each CPU took to complete
the conversion. The results are in seconds and the lower the
time the better. We see little difference in this test as in
the previous tests between the three motherboards. The nForce2
boards remain tied in this benchmark.

We see the NF7-S outperforming the rest of the pack; however,
less than 1 frame per second is not something to write home
about.

Quake III definitely loves the memory bandwidth that the NF7-S
provides. As you can see, the NF7-S wins this battle without
question.

In this DirectX 8 benchmark from the game Aquanox, we see
the NF7-S outperform the pack once again. The new revision of
the nForce2 seems to fair rather well in the last couple of
tests.
There is no doubt the top of the line boards here perform
extremely close to one another. The NF7-S does come out on top
by outperforming the others in all but one of these tests.
