As such, one of the main things that I was wondering was if they fixed the overheating problem with this plus version of the case. I ran tests with the extra coolers (PCI blower and intake fan directed at CPU) and without. To create as much heat as possible I ran two instances of Prime95 and one of 3Dmark05. I also ran a test with just 3Dmark05 running, no Prime95, so I could get the video card as hot as possible.
I tested the temperature in 5 places, the CPU, the Video card, the hard drive bay, ambient temperature towards the top of the case (right behind the 5.25" bays, in front of PSU) and ambient temperature on the bottom of the case (underneath the video card, right by the PCI cooler). Here are the results of the tests.
The case passed the thermal testing. None of the temperature probes detected any temperature outside the normal range. Some of the temperatures were a little higher then other case, but nothing that would make me worry.
