Inside this compact enclosure are all the working parts of a complete
liquid cooling system, with the exception of components that fit to
the PC.
A specially designed aluminum radiator with round header tanks is
on one side of the enclosure. Attached to it, with a formed aluminum
shroud, is a 120mm x 38mm fan.

Opposite the radiator is a DC pump, cleverly mounted to the enclosure
frame with a rubber isolator that completely wraps the pump housing.
It is about the smallest pump we have ever seen, measuring only 3"
x 3" x 3". Interestingly, it uses ¾" I.D. tubing
on both the inlet and outlet, yet the rest of the system uses ¼"
I.D. tubing. Bosch builds the pump in Germany.
Mounted directly above the pump is a backlit flow meter. When the
unit is turned off, it can't be seen. When running, the back light
clearly shows whether the coolant is flowing or not. The first photo
was taken with the cover removed, while the second was taken through
the cover while the unit was running.

Our own newly redesigned website started from a basic template that was heavily modified to suit our needs and the same can be done for you. Using our simple sea website templates on our site you can buy website templates To the rear of the enclosure is a robust anodized aluminum reservoir.
It is fabricated from 2" x 4" extruded aluminum tubing with
top and bottom plates fully welded in place. It can be filled easily
from outside of the enclosure through the chrome plated fill cap shown
on the right. The yellow cap on the left is a level sensor. If it
senses a low coolant level, an alarm is triggered and "FILL"
is displayed on the Hydrocool's front panel.

Just to the side of the reservoir are all three connections to the
PC: two coolant lines and a connector for the control card. The coolant
line fittings are double valve, allowing them to be disconnected without
any dripping and coolant loss.

All of this goodness has to talk to the PC. Corsair does this through
a clever control card and bracket that also serve as the inlet and
outlet points for coolant lines. You can keep your drill motor in
the garage for this installation.

One of the most important parts of a liquid cooled PC system is the
water block. Hydrocool's block is a very small unit made of nickel
plated copper. Developed by a team of Delphi mechanical and thermodynamics
engineers, it has a few dozen micro-channels inside to maximize the
liquid to surface contact area. They calculated a width, length and
aspect ratio for the micro-channels that minimizes the viscosity of
the liquid against it.
On the back side is a thermal probe that connects to the control
card. The unit comes preassembled with a pair of 60 inch long coolant
lines.

It appears to have been surfaced after plating, with a fairly smooth
finish.

Hydrocool comes with a number of necessary items, including communication
cables, hose fittings and clamps, coolant additive and a funnel. A
small syringe of Shin-Etsu Micro Si thermal compound is provided,
as well as clamps for both Pentium and AMD CPU's.
