This particular mouse is very compact and features a very low profile. It is well suited for both right and left-handed individuals. The heel of the mouse is sucked into the palm of your hand for a comfortable fit. Both the left and right buttons are very crisp with a very short travel while the center button has somewhat of a spongy response. Typical of just about every mouse I have ever used the scroll wheel is a little stiff but I am sure it will loosen up with some usage.

The radio receiver works very well. It was placed in just about every place imaginable, including behind the desk! Logitech does recommend the device remain a minimum of 8 inches away from any other electrical devices for maximum performance and to minimize possible conflicts. The receiver seemed to respond to the mouse properly as long as the mouse remained within five to six feet. This is more then enough room for most users.
The accuracy of this mouse is phenominal. There was no more "dragging" of the ball which will aid any one who is a fan of First Person Shooter's. The accuracy made it easy to make micro adjustments while "sniping" people from across the map while playing Ghost Recon. The mouse was also tested on multiple surfaces but was found to respond best on a smooth surface. The only surface the mouse seemed NOT to perform well on was the Rat Pad. This is probably due to it's combination of color and texture.
Special Features
There are a couple unique features that were important and well worth mentioning. The "Smart Power Management" feature allows the batteries lifespan to be extended. If the mouse remains at rest for a short duration of time (about 60 seconds) it proceeds into a standby mode. To recover from standby one simply has to move the mouse. This is a very slick feature and was obviously well thought out so that users don't "fry" batteries daily.

The "Webwheel" feature is also handy. Its software feature that is exclusive to Logitech's product line. This feature's value shines when you are surfing the web. By pressing the scroll button, you can pull up this mini menu which allows shortcuts to popular commands. Once you get used to the webwheel you'll find out that it helps out quite a bit during normal surfing. There is one down side to this feature though; if you play games you have to disable it before you start the game. Not disabling this feature may lead to you finding yourself on the desktop rather than in the game.
